The Practical Theology Class at Swartz First Baptist Church exists to help believers think biblically, grow doctrinally, and live faithfully. Through verse-by-verse studies of Scripture and discussions of key theological themes, our goal is to deepen our understanding of God's Word and strengthen our commitment to Christ.
Taught by Jay Mulhern and Jacob Schuler, this class seeks to bridge the gap between biblical doctrine and everyday Christian living. We believe theology is not merely an academic pursuit but a means of knowing God more fully, worshiping Him more faithfully, and applying His truth more consistently in our homes, churches, and communities.
Our current study is the book of Genesis, the foundational book of Scripture. Often called the Book of Beginnings, Genesis introduces the Creator, explains the origins of humanity and sin, establishes God's covenant promises, and lays the groundwork for the story of redemption that culminates in Jesus Christ.
Whether you attend in person, listen to the podcast, or follow along online, we invite you to join us as we study God's Word together and seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
