Swartz First Baptist Church is a Christ‑centered Southern Baptist church, located in the community of Swartz, in Monroe, Louisiana, existing for the glory of God through the worship of Jesus Christ, the making of disciples, and obedience to the Great Commission.
We affirm the Holy Scriptures as the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God and gladly confess the Baptist Faith & Message (2000) as a faithful summary of biblical doctrine and practice. The Bible governs all matters of faith, doctrine, life, and leadership within the church.
We joyfully cooperate with Southern Baptist churches in Northeast Louisiana, throughout the state of Louisiana, and beyond, partnering together for gospel missions, church planting, theological education, and ministry both locally and globally.
We welcome all who are weary and heavy‑laden, burdened and broken. By God’s grace alone, sinners are welcomed through the gospel of Jesus Christ—and therefore we gladly welcome all who come seeking truth, mercy, and rest in Him.
Our life together is shaped and ordered by four core biblical convictions: the Supremacy of Christ, the Centrality of the Gospel, the Unity of the Body, and the Urgency of the Mission. These convictions define who we are, how we gather, and how we live as God’s redeemed people in our homes, our church, and our world.
